Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons

Responding to the Japanese Garden at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, our series of sculptures captures the magical moment of an Acer leaf falling onto stone, leaving an impression, then blowing away; pausing, for a moment, the transience of Autumn. We wanted to remind the viewer of the beauty and fragility of our natural world with fossilised metal shapes carved into the stone and set in raw metals. The fallen leaf is immortalised.
